Full-time Triage Worker

Sporting Chance is looking to recruit a full-time triage worker to expand our front-line triage team. This is a permanent position located at our treatment and triage facility in Hampshire. The role will be to manage and sign-post those seeking support through our national telephone service offered to the world of professional sport. The successful applicant will enjoy a comprehensive employment package and join a developing and thriving team.

The starting salary will be circa £26500.00

It will be essential that they are able to demonstrate

  • Experience of a client facing, triage or key working role in the field of mental health or public support.

  • Experience of initial contact screening and information gathering through telephone and email communication.

  • An ability to prioritise and manage a busy case load and level of enquiries.

  • Experience of a varied range of mental health and emotional presentations.

  • An ability to interpret emotional / mental health presentations and sign post to relevant pathways of support

  • An excellent telephone manner with an ability to communicate information to both clients and third-party agencies.

  • Good professional boundaries whilst showing a welcoming level of empathy to clients.

  • A good level of I.T. skills together with an ability to manage data through spreadsheets and database software.

  • Good administration skills and able to record sensitive information in an appropriate manner.

  • An experience of working with a high level of confidentiality whilst respecting national safeguarding expectations.

  • A good working knowledge of GDPR requirements.
