Sporting Chance supported over 1400 athletes last year with a wide range of emotional and mental health issues, things that players were struggling with but felt they couldn't address on their own.

We bring 23 years' experience of helping players into each and every one of our education sessions. We use player experience in addition to, not instead of, evidence-based learning.

Sporting Chance’s Education Department offers a range of seminars tailored to different audiences and ages within professional sport, including first team squads, academies, parents, coaches, or any club staff whose role might in some way impact on the emotional or mental health of the athletes and former athletes that we support.

Current available workshops are:

  • Lifestyle, Problematic Behaviours and Addiction

  • Women in Sport

  • Substance Use

  • Gambling

  • Social Media

  • Athletic Identity

  • Emotional Regulation and Self Care

  • Brain Health

  • Supporting Others

  • Supporting Others (Extended therapist-led workshop version)

Sporting Chance currently provides education to our stakeholder organisations. We always welcome enquiries from those involved in any other form of professional sport who may be interested in finding out more about our range of educational seminars and how we might adapt them for their particular organisation.

We do not receive any funds directly from the gambling industry.
