Sporting Chance presented on the opening day of the UK Anti-Doping Clean Sport Forum 2020.
CEO Colin Bland and Head of Education, Communication & Athlete Engagement Alex Mills delivered an online presentation to 400 delegates from 30 countries involved in professional in elite level sport.
The first day of the Virtual Conference focused on UKAD's interpretation of the new World Anti-Doping Agency rules, with Sporting Chance's presentation entitled Objectives and Successes of Treatment Programmes.
Bland said: "Sporting Chance works alongside UK sports' disciplinary processes to provide assessment, education and treatment to those who fail drugs tests. We were delighted to present at a hugely important conference and share our practices in this area, which we believe keep sport safer and positively impact lives.
"The main purpose of our contribution was to communicate the key message, that, there should be consequences for the use of banned substances but they should include a pathway to support and education. We believe that commitment to this best practice will make sport safer in the long term."
